I was "too nice" for the position. Other members of management spoke down to stylists and flat out embarrassed them on the floor. As part of the management team, I was expected to do this. Their HR systems are run in Asia and it is impossible to understand the techs on the phone. The POS and HR systems are extremely outdated. Additionally, I was given the task of hiring and then not being able to give hours or cutting hours because of payroll cuts. Scheduling for managers was often unfair. Night shifts were unevenly distributed. Just very awkward from day one.
