Pros
- friendly and peaceful environment - laid-lack and not crowded like many stores - managers are nicer after hours (I was a cashier so I counted money afterwards)
Cons
- pressure and annoying management! Many of them pressure you to act busy, or they'll definitely give you something to do, even if no one is in the store. All my coworkers walk around casually to pretend they're busy sometimes. - managers only care about meeting their goal. all else doesn't matter - biased towards those that help make sales. cashiers do not get any recognition or are deemed important in any way - try to squeeze all energy out of workers. people on the floor had to learn cashier (which makes no sense because they didn't choose to be a cashier at the time of hire.) - low pay if you're not smart. They won't try to give everyone an equal pay at hire. Everyone got various different type of pay based on the "Expected wages" we wrote. (I felt like a kid choosing my own wages). They really use it against you. I was one of the lowest paid when I had some work experence while others do not. - We close at 10 and I sometimes go home at 2AM having to count the cashier. If theres an error we are forced to stay
