Pros
-Relaxed dress code (jeans and t-shirts) -Personal style encouraged (tattoos, piercings and unique hairstyles accepted)
Cons
-Outdated POS system that liked to crash -High employee turn around -Mediocre pay -Popularity contest for Managers (who they were friends with and whose butt they kissed let them get away with doing little to no work) -LP was a joke (certain female managers were afraid of the shoplifters) -Stylists were required to do a certain number of fittings per day. Which required male and female employees to touch female customers waists, hips and thighs to tell them which denim would fit them best, which could be insulting to the customer -Community service and charitable donations were encouraged to the point of being forced -Floor sets were impossible due to merchandise being sent sometimes weeks after it was due to be displayed -Positive feedback was rare -Hours were a point of contention (you were scheduled the minimum but management would get mad if they called you in with no notice and you couldn't come in or you were scheduled on call shifts so you had to wait around on a day off to see if you were needed) -Conversion was harped upon by management but management spent more time in the backroom on the phone or on line planning vacations than they did helping customers -Low employee morale -Few employee incentive programs -Poor employee discount
