Pros
As of right now we still have great benefits through the state, and adjustable work schedules. Work/Life balance has always been great, making up for the lower compensation as a state employee.
Cons
Presidential rating is NOT for Anthony Fernandez, who was great. The new president is Cynthia Pemberton and she has been thoroughly destroying the team environment since taking over campus. The remaining administration is doing whatever they can to fall in line rather than lose their jobs. Rather than being open in administration, decisions are made behind doors and then we're fed a line about how much they care and why we just have to suck it up. We were also told that the only reason to be upset about increasing our parking costs 10 fold was because we buy too much coffee. The worst though is that people who have dedicated their lives to serving students are being eliminated so that new positions can be created for friends, other departments are being told that they WILL hire friends of the administration or they won't hire anybody, and there has been a reoccurring trend of gender based hire in order to increase "Women in Leadership" rather than choosing candidates based on who is best equipped to perform the duties of the position and serve the students.
