Pros

Benefits are awesome, pay is comparable to other hospitals. They appreciate their staff and do fun celebrations at various times, with raffles, snacks and free goodies. Most departments are stable and have low turn over. The general mood in the hospital and in the practices in my opinion is pleasant and helpful. I’ve had great experiences as a patient here. The providers and support staff really care.

Cons

Direct leadership (Management and supervisors). Are highly inappropriate. They thrive on drama, and love having a staff member they can focus on until that person leaves or is fired by them. They are giddy for days laughing and joking loudly for hours at a time when an employee is fired. It’s disgusting. They talk about staff members to others, and call staff members names to their faces. They say they don’t do drama, but they are 90% the cause of the drama in the office. Then justify their bad behavior by saying “we’re women”. They ridicule and mock staff members openly on the floor where everyone can hear, and to their face. Demeaning and belittling is their favorite game to play, telling the truth is problematic for them. Never mind the favoritism and nepotism-it’s off the charts. This particular department is so super toxic. We’ve lost 4 staff members that have been doing this work for 20+ years due to the toxicity of the immediate leadership. People get fired in the middle of the day while everyone is present, and walked out in a humiliating way. This is the single most toxic office I have ever worked for. If you can avoid being part of the revenue cycle team…..please do.
