Pros

Nice offices. Most coworkers are nice. You will love the job at first but then you wake up and realize it’s all lies.

Cons

-Takes almost a month and a half to get one full day of PTO -They say it’s a family but really your enemy -HR is supposed to be confidential but will share all your business -Training is a joke -If you have family in the higher ups, you can do no wrong -Managers make up policies that don’t exist to cover their mistakes. -Providers are prioritized over admin. They will expect you to accept them disrespecting you and expect your silence and compliance. -No matter how much you tell them something needs to be improved, they will not make a change. -Will “ask” you to do special tasks with unrealistic timelines -The billing department will scam the patients. They take money for appointments before verifying benefits. They will take the money immediately but expect patients to wait weeks for a refund. -They want you to be self sufficient but keep you in the dark about things until last minute. -Will analyze your performance but give no tools or additional training. -They hire managers with no knowledge or management training. -If a patient request to speak to a manager, they WONT. -Patients have a late / no show fee, but providers will cancel on you with no consideration. -Front office/Psych Coordinators are over worked This company will use you and then set you up to fail.

Pros

Incredible place to work to build experience, receive supervision while supporting a diverse client population. Extremely flexible hours, opportunity to either work from home or in office with administrative staff. Truly caring, intentional, experienced regional leaders that are open to feedback and value their employees.

Cons

Working in mental health in a publicly held corporation has its conflicts of interest. No paid vacation time for FT employees which is counterintuitive to the work we do as trauma informed providers. No paid training. Profitability and bottom-line results for shareholders should not be reason to think of long term needs and burnout potential of providers.
