Lost local control, and ability to build relationships with accounts. Closed offices based on lease agreements rather than area performance. I would be very careful to ask questions about culture, and tenure of staff, ask how many offices were closed or restructures have happened since Shutterfly, and then Apollo Global Capital. Apollo Global Management usually holds onto assets for 3-5 years, we are past that mark so I would be expecting that they will be breaking up Shutterfly in the near future if it is no longer profitable.
