Pros

Work pays the bill. Easy work in corporate, the drivers bring in the money.

Cons

- Majority of management is incompetent. Their game is to work together to keep low level hires busy with redundant and busy work, but not actually give them responsibilities that would make the valuable to them company. Managers work with HR to keep their foots on your throat. - Managers were forced to attend diversity training, because some of their prejudice was showing. - They do not celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day and corporate workers have to work that day, but not get paid for working that holiday. - High turnover rate. - Lack of direction, responsibility, structure will give you anxiety and wonder what the hell is this ish - No game plan from management causes lack of confidence in company and reflect poorly on every other employee from top down. - My department conveniently layoff the only two people of color while the three white male employees in the IT department stayed on board

Pros

Work/Home life balance Okay Pay but not great Some Managers really seem to care about drivers Salary- both a pro and a con.

Cons

Driver retention seems to be low due to low pay on some accounts for how much work is expected, I.E. unloading up to 3000 pounds on pallets with a manual jack. (At least on the account I wound up stranded on) Will stick you into a class B position because it's what the company needs but then when a class A position opens back up near your home they will refuse to move you over because and I quote "you've been doing class B for too long" when they're the ones that put you there. They lease through Ryder who seems less than enthusiastic about keeping units in good repair at some of their locations. As mentioned in my pros the pay is decent but not where it should be, raises also seem to be lackluster at best, even though I got moved into a trainer and lead driver position and can cover multiple different accounts for them I barely make more than when I started a couple years ago for my base pay, meanwhile there's a driver who is contract got bought out years ago and makes more than both his manager and the account manager because he keeps getting pay increases. Salary- both a pro and a con. Preach safety but ask drivers on some accounts to work with less than safe equipment unloading very heavy freight.
