It's difficult to address the specifics of this due to the anonymous nature of the post. What I can offer is that we do have a brilliant team, but those brilliant people are on some very difficult accounts. We do difficult work, with world class clients, that expect a lot out of us. We have a strong brand promise that we have to live up too.
It often isn't easy.
Given the timing of this post, I'll share that we had a small group of team members, inventing an agile governance approach for a long standing client. Super interesting work, doing things no one has ever done before, in a situation that was creating a ton of pressure for the leadership team.
C-level visibility at the client and super high expectations for tangible performance gains.
We had a hiring backlog of 50 people and finding enough talented people fast enough was difficult. Tons of pressure to deliver and not enough people to do the work.
All I can say is that the people assigned to that subset of the account didn't have the best LeadingAgile experience ever. Lot's of lessons learned, but I'd offer two things. The feedback here is valid, no argument. But it's reflective of a pocket of experience in a single account and not indicative of LeadingAgile as a whole.
The other thing I might offer... if you are reading this and considering coming to work here... we are not an agile coaching company. We don't imbed people in teams and teach them how to be better team members. We are focused on the issues the C-suite cares about. Organizational design, governance, and metrics. Product Managment and Marketing. Strategy delegation. Budgeting and finance. Technology and architecture. Compliance.
We are building and inventing models to serve our clients. We are using agile principles to solve problems that have never been solved before. It isn't easy. Sometimes things get messy. If you're willing to get messy to solve the most difficult problems in our industry you may like working here. If you want to work someplace that feels good all the time... that isn't us.
Does it feel good a lot of times? Absolutely. Will it get difficult sometimes? Absolutely.
You just have to know what you're signing up for.
