Pros

Great coworkers who work together and do what it takes to get the job done without any visible leadership.

Cons

Used to be an excellent company (formally BOC) to work for - until it was bought out by Linde. Although the mindset everywhere is 'do more with less', it is taken to the extreme at Linde. They have made working more with fewer employees their target, literally cutting departments by 75% while in addition to taking on the tasks of all the cut employees, they add even more to someone's workload, making their job so stressful they don't have time to think. Twelve hour shifts, taking work home after that and not wanting to pay non exempt employee for their OT. Management is 95% replaced - and these new highly paid executives have no idea what it takes to 'get the job done'. I was with Linde for over 20 years, and I watched a work life/balance company turn into a blood bath. You never know when your number is up. The workloads are so tremendous they are impossible to achieve, putting people under constant stress and walking on eggshells. When you visually see fellow employees being cut, yet spending endless amounts on executives travels, dinners, leadership meetings etc. you begin to wonder where they are contributing. And when the Board comes over and are sneaking in the back as they don't want employees to see the limo they drive around in, they obviously know it's wrong. It's a very sad, unbalanced, uncaring company to work for.
