Pros

Promotions are slim to none and when they do come around they already have someone picked out for it. The interview process for promotions is just so they don't get too many complaints about favoritism. Leadership is lacking and when they do have good managment or leadership they usually can them no matter how long they have worked there and know what they're doing. If you think outside of the box then you aren't going to fit into their narrow thinking. The onnly perk I can really say for the site that I was working at is usually you got all time off requests approved. I did make quite a few good friends here while working here for 4 years though.

Cons

Training when they have the capacity to do so with their employees is lacking. Luckily I was trained well when I first started after going through 3 trainers in my first week of working there. There is no proper actions taken when there are situations that get out of hand with other employees or any higher position then you are. It's kind of like going back to highschool and dealing with the drama aaspect all over again only with fully grown adults. There is no compensation for anyones time or out of box thinking and if you get something that an engineer likes they pretty much own your ideas and if you go to any other company or start your own you can't use any of your ideas that the company knows about.

Pros

Supportive Leadership: The management team is approachable and genuinely invested in employee success, providing guidance and mentorship to help you reach your full potential. Career Development: There are numerous opportunities for professional growth, including training programs, workshops, and access to industry conferences, ensuring you continually advance your skills. If your current position is not working out for you there may be opportunities to join a different team and expand your skill set. Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling options and remote work opportunities allow for a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Recognition and Rewards: Employees are regularly acknowledged for their hard work and achievements, both through formal recognition programs and informal appreciation. Even if it is just a call out on a team meeting, it shows your hard work is not going unnoticed.

Cons

Rapid Changes: The company's dynamic nature means frequent shifts in priorities or objectives, which may be challenging for those who prefer stability. Resource Constraints: Occasionally, there might be limited resources which can impact the ability to execute projects efficiently. Communication Gaps: In a large organization, there can be occasional breakdowns in communication between departments, leading to misunderstandings or delays. Onboarding Process: The initial onboarding process might benefit from more structure or support to help new employees acclimate quickly.

Pros

It has been very cool seeing the company evolve with the new AI and LLM Technologies. Going from a complex language services company to an AI-first complete content and AI Data Services company has opened many new doors. Lionbridge also focuses on promoting internal candidates first, giving us all the chance to strive for openings internally to grow our careers. I've been promoted multiple times in my 5+ years. We're surrounded by very intelligent and good people, and it's interesting solving new-world problems together as a global team. We're constantly working with team members and customers from all over the world, and get the chance to learn about the various personal and business cultures of so many.

Cons

No real Cons. It's not an easy industry to be in these days with things changing at this rapid a pace, but we keep up well. Never a dull moment, and never a new challenge around each corner, but a great team to always work it out with.
