Pros
Wish I had made the change sooner. Started as a temp in 2016 and have had opportunities to advance. I have also been passed over. "No" doesn't mean forever, it means not today. LH has become a better place to be every year that I have worked here. The company has made numerous changes over the last 2 years that have benefitted the factory floor employees more that leadership. Wages have increased. There are career ladders for advancement. The company is community focused, LH has purchased lunches for employees from local businesses through most of 2020 and into 2021. There are also in kind donations to local charities and families. Yes, the job can be demanding. Yes, some days are worse than others, but of all the jobs that I have had the positives far outweigh the negatives. No workplace is perfect. Leadership is striving to achieve a work-life balance, but customer orders drive the manufacturing environment and right now business is good.
Cons
There is a large amount of frontline employee turnover.
