Pros
- Challenging work with a variety of responsibilities. - Flexible works hours depending on your position. You can work with your supervisor to help improve your work/life balance. - Clear guidelines for career mobility/growth. There is a good performance review process in place. Company utilizes Lominger system to systematically look at what skills you can develop to achieve your career goals. - Good benefits. I enjoy the wellness program that offers a quarterly cash bonus for participating. They try and provide different services to get people involved with wellness. Most recently they offered a generously prorated membership to a local CrossFit gym. - Great location. Close to O'Hare, accessible via public transportation or highway. Ample parking and fitness center on-site. Fitness center is small, but adequate and has showers available.
Cons
High performance & fast-paced -- I enjoy it, but this culture is not for everyone. You need to be able to prioritize well and be prepared to be busy. While it is demanding, I find my work challenging and enjoy taking on new responsibilities. Not much down time. Transparency -- While there is a good level of transparency, sometimes announcements/changes are not acknowledged early enough. Could improve this. Group Separation -- Since the company is divided into different departments, it is difficult to know everyone. For most roles, you will only development relationships with people within your department.
