Pros

Company was good and telling us that we were not in an harms way. Good benefits up until the point where they made that difficult decisive decision to furlough immediately employees. They have a Great Place To Work Survey and all the fronts to make it appear to be a GREAT company and a great place to work. To boost moral Rapino brought on people like Ferrel and other artists to talk about "fun things" to get our minds off of what was probably going to happen, which did. Company used to care about it's employees but now it's just putting up a fake facade that it does.

Cons

Company I thought was "Great Place To Work For" till they furloughed me and tons of other people with no severance, no pay, no fall back. They basically decided that they couldn't pay our salaries and said, see you in October, but i'm slowly questioning that as well. Once HR made the cut, they didn't give us any update or feedback on whether or not we were coming back. Basically leaving us to fend for ourselves. We are now nearing August and we have had no update from the leadership or HR. The only updates they are making is about donating to BLM and how they are going to spend millions of dollars elsewhere for causes they apparently didn't have money for. So they didn't have money for their employees, (to give them a buffer) but they have money for causes that have no direct financial impact to the business.. This is poor leadership at it's finest and just over all disgusting. To make matters worse, they started donations drives for their stage crews and events people for their customers to donate to them. I know it's hard times, but vowing to give 10+ million of dollar toward causes internally and externally when you have sidelined hundreds if not thousands of workers, is beyond me and you should do the right thing

Pros

1. Genuinely fun environment. You're working live shows at a major 16,000-capacity venue, so no two events feel the same. 2. Strong sense of teamwork; the ops crew is small and coordinated, so you actually rely on and trust the people around you. 3. Real, transferable experience: crowd management, security screening, event setup/breakdown, and real-time coordination during incidents. 4. Good exposure to how a venue actually runs, including coordination with partner staff like Legends Global. 5. Flexible seasonal structure worked well for me (if you want event-industry experience without a year-round commitment) and you can talk to management about going to other venues during off-season.

Cons

1. Seasonal and event-driven, so hours are inconsistent and concentrated around the concert season. 2. Outdoor amphitheater work is weather-dependent; shifts happen rain or shine (at my venue: Mann Center), and conditions can sometimes be tough. 3. Physically demanding with long nights, late breakdowns, and a lot of time on your feet, you've gotta really enjoy and appreciate shows. 4. Limited long-term advancement within a seasonal role.
