Pros
-They definitely care about you and your development. -For it being the insurance industry--where there is an overwhelming majority of white males-- I would say it is a diverse workplace. -Most of the managers are really good at their jobs, which makes everything so much easier/better -Not a whole lot of workplace drama -Lockton cares a lot about the culture--something most every company says, but not a lot do. It shows, whether it's the activities both in and outside the office, the volunteer opportunities in the community, and the general workplace atmosphere. -Being a private company allows for a good deal of fluidity compared to our competitors. We are just able to move things along so much faster, without the bureaucracy. It feels like a smaller business, with many of the perks of bigger corporation. -Good benefits/wellness package. -Great resources that make your job so much easier and efficient -Growing like crazy
Cons
-Not very transparent, especially with career paths. There is no defined path, which can be frustrating at times, because it's often hard to know where you stand -Sometimes we have unrealistic expectations with our clients, which causes some unneeded stress. -Communication can be lacking in some areas.
