Pros
In an industry known for its high level of competition and market saturation, it's nice to see that the stereotypical (and often negative) "sales" qualities have not found a home here. Tenured and new reps alike, everyone is eager to help each other out -- LP has done a fantastic job of cultivating a team-focused environment of growth and positivity. In my 2.5 years with the company, I've worked with the teams in Portland HQ as well as in the Austin, TX, sales office so my experience has had the benefit of a larger sample size than some -- In this time LP leadership has demonstrated on multiple occasions their appreciation for those who are willing to work hard and act as a positive force within their organization. The individuals who not only possess, but consistently demonstrate, the qualities of a strong work ethic, positive attitude, coachability, and mental grit are well rewarded here. Each person has their own goals, so the job and the company may not be a fit for everyone, but quite frankly, I have never seen anyone who maintains those qualities not succeed within this company. There are always ups and downs with any job, especially in sales, but the provided resources and level of support from teammates and management have always given me ample reason to stick around. I can honestly say that working with LP allows me to enjoy what I do and feel good about doing it, while they also continue to be a channel for professional advancement and personal development, which can be a difficult combination to find. Starting with Logical Position a few years ago was the best career decision I've made yet and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish next.
Cons
Starting base pay isn't sustainable for most people, but the commission payout is fairly substantial if you're willing to put in the work to consistently perform in your first year. Ultimately this is a sales role so I don't consider this much of a "con", especially because of the focus placed on training/education early on. I will say the compensation increases significantly the longer you're here and the more valuable of an asset you become for the company, but it will take some time. If you're looking for a 3-6 month gig just to pay off some bills then this may not be the right place for you.
