Pros

-Coworkers bring their dogs in from time to time. -Free food on occasion. -Sub-management employees love their clients and work tremendously hard. Friendly and competent team/coworkers.

Cons

-Many department heads seem unqualified for their roles and often take credit for the hard work of their teams. -HR desperately needs to be fixed. Employees are treated like children to be punished, and HR policies are consistently unevenly enforced. Complaints about direct supervisors are often met with a "deal with it or get out" approach. -In the wake of COVID-19 LP was forced to lay off a portion of its staff, as many companies were. The layoff included some of LP's most loyal and tenured employees. LP handled the layoffs by waiting until the employees being laid off had gone to lunch, revoking their access to their email/calendar/client records, and having the VP of their department call to let them know they'd been laid off. As a result, many employees weren't officially laid off until hours after they had been unable to access their work and had already pieced together what was happening to them. -Hardworking employees are generally underpaid and underappreciated.

I’m so sorry that was your experience. We had to let about 4% of our staff go due to fallout related to the pandemic. The majority were in their first few months of employment. It was absolutely heartbreaking and easily the worst day of my professional career. There were a couple cases where we couldn’t get in touch with staff members for several hours, and we certainly didn’t want to deliver this message through email. Due to the nature of our business, and for client security, we had to remove access to certain databases manually and immediately. I’m so sorry for the way this must have felt. I hope you are doing well and wish you the best in everything you pursue.

Pros

Great team of people on every level, from the training to the teams we are on when we get started- everyone is so supportive and they really make the workday more fun. The training and the amount of resources available really do lay a foundation for success in this role that's hard to beat.

Cons

It's hard to say that there are really any "cons" because this job is entirely what you make of it.
