      Sometimes getting lucky to have some co-workers to help while you're drowning

      Cons

      Everything. Poor pay, management that gives into gossip/plays favorites, extremely unsafe RN to patient ratios, outdated charting systems, prioritizing money and profit over patient safety and proper pay to employees.

      The staff are all very friendly and supportive.

      Cons

      It is a small hospital, with alot of responsibilities that fall back on the RN.

      Pros

      Key West has a diverse an amazing patient population. The long time staff (there are few left) are more like family than co-workers.

      Cons

      This is a challenging time for Healthcare in general. The challenges with retaining experienced staff is an issue (and a scary one) that I believe is not exclusive to Lower Keys. Key West additionally has a unique set of challenges related to the cost of living being so high.
