      Pros

      Overall a very stable work environment on the IT side. So many people involved with any given thing that it's hard to pin blame on anyone, so repercussions are usually just a severe talking to. Reasonable benefits and pay for the modern U.S. economy. Generally flexible hours and work environment.

      Cons

      Benefits being reduced every year, unclear strategic direction, extremely rough handling of CenturyLink->Embarq->Savvis->Qwest mergers. Monroe-based leadership and employees are 'there because they grew up there', and often are very underqualified for their titles...those that are skilled (and there are some outstanding ones) are often unappreciated because they aren't Christian enough.

      Easy to learn, manageable schedule, supportive management

      Cons

      Changes in systems with many malfunctions, confusing workflows, policies set with little guidance (like figure it out yourself)

      Pros

      The managers are very supportive when it comes to career development and mobility at Lumen.

      Cons

      Lumen has gone through several organizational restructures, which created uncertainty and placed additional responsibilities on frontline employees. While change is sometimes necessary, better planning and communication could help reduce the burden on customer-facing teams and improve the overall employee experience.
