Drama galore Rude residents Lazy supervisors/managers Stressful, fast-paced job Shows they clearly have favorites Anytime we were backed up with dishes at the end of dining services the supervisor who was present would just sit in the office on their phone until we were done, they wouldn’t help at all. I’d often hear bad things said about me, mainly from the supervisors. They gossip amongst each other, which is something I’d understand from a bunch of teenagers working the job but the supervisors are well over 30 years of age and it is really mentally draining. Trainings were once every few months, and half the things you learned were things you don’t often encounter in the dining room so if you didn’t remember how a certain thing worked there was a good chance your supervisor would get a bit angry even though we never practiced They don’t train you enough, I was left to deal with big dining events and I was told to fetch special items that have special dining names that I had no clue what they were because I didn’t go to culinary for school? They also told me I couldn’t move to full time because I wasn’t the same position as those who have moved to full time, yet they offered the position to my coworker WHO STARTED ON THE SAME DAY? What a way to say no I don’t like this place at all, you can try and please them all you want and they probably won’t appreciate you as much as they say
