Pros

I got a paycheck twice a month.

Cons

I was hired with the promise of one position, and was talked into another one--until the first one was "ready--which basically turned into a contract position. The first position never materialized, and when the contract position ended I was told "you have to find another position or we will have to lay you off." So basically, what was advertised as a full time position turned out to be a dead-end short term contract position (3 months). I left for a better position, fortunately, but found out through colleagues at the client company that the account manager made disparaging remarks about me after I left. (Although the director of this particular company called me to tell me how grateful she was for my help.) After I left a friend took a similar agile coaching position with them and was fired three days after starting. This is a consummate professional with an extensive track record. The company seems to shift ownership every three years or so, sort of a shell game. They have developer farms in Russia and the Ukraine. I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Pros

- Nice and respectful culture - The company trusts its employees, no need for a lot bureaucracy when taking days off or sick leave - If you are good, they are going to do anything in their power to keep you

Cons

- Parent DXC company is very strict and outdated, Luxoft systems are very good, but sometimes we need to use DXC systems that are mostly sharepoint and awfully designed Service Now. - After DXC took control, everything is Windows, you are lucky if you get a Mac system, and they hate Linux. You need to sell your soul and get many management and client approvals and exceptions in IT to be able to use Linux. - If is a huge company that serves many clients, so obviously, you are going to have totally different experiences depending on the client you work for
