Pros
* Competitive salary according to Barcelona. * 100% working from home.
Cons
I accepted the offer from Luxoft Barcelona because the salary was competitive and slightly higher than another offer from a large supermarket chain here in Spain. In my interview I was told that Luxoft's projects were international and that the possibility of career growth was high. Great disappointment. Luxoft Spain has only a couple of projects, which are of very low level, both technically and professionally. The growth opportunities are nonexistent because the modality adopted by Luxoft Spain is similar to working B2B (without clear salary benefits). The main problem was that, when the my project terminate , they had no other option to offer me, no coverage plan, no internal projects, nothing. Literally, they left me in limbo. In almost 15 years of career, and having worked for multiple companies, this is the first time something like this has happened to me. It's unbelievable that such a large company in such a high-demand industry has nothing to offer. Working here was literally like working as a freelancer, with a formal contract. If you receive a job offer from Luxoft Spain while already employed, be careful! There are cases where they hire personnel, keep them on the bench, and if no projects are found, they dismiss them without a word in 3 months.
