Pros
It is reassuring to know that Lyon Living gives all of their employees equal opportunities. All employees receive monthly emails of our current job openings, regardless of position, location, and feasibility of transition. The transition from an on-site position to the corporate level couldn't have gone better. I was introduced to every single person at the office and continually receive smiles and greetings throughout the day. You can tell that people enjoy working at Lyon Living by how they walk around, socialize with each other and go about their day. Lyon Living values on-site experience and feedback. Rather than feeling less than my peers, this is the type of company where they respect my experience from the property level and want to have a realistic idea of what it is like to work and live at one of their properties. If you're interested in working for a progressive company with good values and charismatic leadership, I would recommend Lyon Living.
Cons
The hiring process was a little longer than expected, although once the interviews began, things moved very quickly. As much as they want to know what it's like to work and live on-site, there are still challenges and delays for the properties to get real issues and needs addressed. In my time working here the most consistent issue I've noticed is they could use more employees than they typically have hired, especially at the property level. Recently it seems to be trending in the right direction as I've seen HR constantly bringing in people for interviews.
