Pros
Remote work and nice colleagues!
Cons
This was the worst remote job I’ve ever had. At first I felt good, trying to help people gain access to mental health services, but it quickly turned into just being focused on Numbers, and it shifted into a call-center set up. We were on an assembly line taking call after call. They stopped caring about the employees, well-being, and started micromanaging everything to where we couldn’t even get a breather between calls. We were literally tracked all day long and if we were in a certain status for too long, we would quickly be questioned. I don’t know why this role request mental health clinicians because we don’t use our clinical skills. We read a script and if we deviate from the script that’s a problem. We have to rush our crisis calls to be around 15 minutes or less and not much can be done that quickly. It’s a soul sucking role.
