Pros

There is a ton of great, meaningful work to do, and a lot of truly great, meaningful people to do it with. Still seemingly a big desire in technology to collaborate and achieve at a high level, as the bank suffers from crawling its way out of ancient tech and old standards. There are good platforms, and an endless stream of new business opportunities to develop upon. However...

Cons

Tech leadership has been in utter turmoil for years, all the way to the top, where it feels either entirely absent (at the very top), or operating with threats as a main tool. Where as only a few years ago, the theme was positive motivation, Agility, and collaboration, that movement was failed by its own bringers under weak decision-making, and not working with the constant entitlement from the business to do things 'their way', handcuffing the entire movement. Now, with everything in the red, over-resourced and under-produced, tech leadership has shifted to overworking people with date-driven threats to salvage crippled efforts, due to the bloat of business confusion and demand, and everyone only looking out for themselves.

Pros

The team members were generally supportive, and the role offered exposure to probate and estate administration. It can be a starting point for gaining experience in a specialized area of banking.

Cons

Many of the advertised benefits of the role did not align with the day-to-day reality. Opportunities for growth, training, and process improvement were limited, and the workload often felt driven by volume rather than quality. Communication and expectations could be inconsistent, making it difficult to feel supported or set up for long-term success.
