Pros
Will introduce you to and show the ropes of Gov't processes, which could lead to direct employment with the Gov't if that is a career goal
Cons
Not a place to grow roots. Get what you can and get out asap. Management will use you up for what they need. No upward mobility unless you are on the favored list and even that is limited. Personal opinion/upbringing is used to manage - facts, academic education, people management skills not required.
