Pros
I worked in IT/IS. The staff I worked with for multi-decades years were wonderful, professional, diverse, engaging, and supportive. The pay better than average. Great benefits, PTO, and flexible work hours (never mind being on-call a lot). The work was challenging and contributions recognized.
Cons
Then came (1) the Epic implementation which was hugely over budget (fact) and implemented horribly (opinion), (2) The Affordable Care Act - which MDA got no piece of, (insurance greediness, and the current cadre of executive leadership and their minions which were obviously asleep at the wheel or too immersed in their own pet projects to have not seen the financial shortfall looming ahead.
