Pros

The health insurance was good. Though, no designated maternity leave.

Cons

The Public Relations Department was a very unpleasant work environment that I wouldn’t recommend considering for employment. The executive director was an often unpleasant and demanding person to work for. Despite excellent performance reviews, conversations about advancement were met with defensiveness and hostility from management. The culture with others in the department was often tense, weirdly competitive, and unsupportive. Ultimately due to the culture and management style, I realized I had to leave to grow as a professional and to feel valued for my talents. Now I am very happy in a new job where I feel truly appreciated and make a lot more money.
