There aren't so many pros for working for MES as you are don't have much interaction with them directly. The main pros are working with the military and veteran communities.

Cons

The leaders cannot comprehend that fire stations do not turn a profit and rely on other funds. The HR Manager shows up to meetings from the gym and hides employment information. This is a company that looks to get rich off firefighters, that tells you all you need to know.
