Pros
- Generally great work-life balance - Great job security - Good culture and good people - Good (not amazing) benefits that favor employees who intend to stay a long time - Projects are generally interesting, meaningful, and impactful
Cons
Not good for those in early-mid career for the following reasons: - Lack of proper learning opportunities - Lack of structure (have to figure everything out yourself) - Lack of mentorship Other cons: - Compensation is below the industry standard and increasing one's salary can be difficult - Everything is project-dependent. This place can be great or it can be hell depending on the project/team - Have to fill out timecards - Management lines are strange. Most of the time, managers do not work with the people they manage. Higher-level managers who are the main arbiters of salary have to rely on second-hand or third-hand word of mouth regarding an employee's performance - Corporate management seems to make poor decisions in spite of recommendations from technical contributors
