Pros
1. MOCA employees are very intelligent and many are easy to get along with. I have huge respect and admiration for my field level peers. 2. MOCA has some leaders that I have learned a great deal from. 3. The clients that we work with are often well connected and the projects are usually complex and unique.
Cons
1. Communication from leadership needs to be improved. Even the leadership doesn’t communicate with each other very well as evidenced by conflicting requests and conference call blowouts. Directives and internal processes are subject to change with zero notice. When information is shared, it is staged and almost in template form and doesn’t feel genuine. 2. Numerous talented and driven employees are not being utilized to their highest capacity. If MOCA isn't using employees to their highest capacity, then MOCA will not maximize their potential for future growth. 3. Very top heavy organization – dangerous ratio of billable to non-billable staff. Curious cycle of layoffs each month followed by hiring actions to fill open spots. 4. MOCA does not put the time and effort into educating their employees about the services and software that they provide. The majority of the field staff does not fully understand what we do/what we can do. This makes it difficult if not impossible to do a good job marketing and driving business with existing and potential future clients. 5. Leadership in general lacks many of the qualities that employees need to feel satisfied with their job. They are out of touch with the majority of the employees and are shocked to hear about the low spirits of the staff. Leadership mistreats their employees often using intimidation rather than motivation.
