Pros
It is a good job. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s easy to learn. The people you work with (at least some) are good people. If you actually work, you’ll be just fine. It’s good hours as well with opportunities for pay raises (you have to ask for though!)
Cons
We went through 4 different GM’s the 2 years I was there. Not a single one of them was actually good! The first was a dunce. Super nice guy. But was clearly thrown into a position he was not ready for. I was brand new and he was asking me for my opinion on how to run things. Second guy was an ex-con. I think he was only there for a week? He was kind of mean and aggressive. But then he disappeared. 3rd guy was this KID with an ego. I was 21 at the time and I had to serve alcohol for him since he wasn’t even old enough. His AGM though was amazing! I have no idea why he wasn’t the GM. 4th guy came in right before I left, but I never met him. Heard from former coworkers he wasn’t good though. Lol. Seriously.. hire management that actually deserves to be there! Pay is minimum wage I think? I asked for a raise after a year, and they “gave” it to me.. but just a month later everyone got a raise.. and mine didn’t change. Some customers were great. Some were compelete a holes. God forbid you have a cheese out of place on their pizza! But you’re going to get that everywhere. Not necessarily a con, the people I worked with are great. But I think they should disclose this to teenagers/young adults getting hired; they do hire former convicts. So you will be working a long side them. Like I said, the people I worked with were amazing. But as a young girl, it was kinda shocking to learn while on the job.
