Pros
Onboard Training was good in classroom.
Cons
Old systems and software that have a lot of glitches. Everything done with function keys; no mouse. Trainers and others try to pump you up about career advancement but I believe it is more of who you know. There were 2 in my training class (only there for the first two weeks for orientation and system background) that were hired into positions that should have been promotions for current employees. During breaks and classroom visits, I saw that they were friends with the "right" people. The jobs were not given due to their experience. I also know a person who was hired in as a supervisor after being fired from a company where we both previously worked. Another con is that you do not get holiday pay or benefits until you've been there 3 months. That would have been Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's for my class. You also get your birthday as a holiday but only after 3 months. Insurance does not start until your 3rd month. I guess because there is such a huge turnover MTM decided they can save a lot of money by using the 3 month rule. They hire work from home but I don't think it is a good idea to send somebody home to work with only classroom training. Sets you up for failure. If you do work from home, you have to provide all your own equipment.
