Pros

Remote first work environment, if that's appealing to you.

Cons

I joined MYND with so much enthusiasm and excitement, I really thought that I was going to be able to good and revolutionary work that I set out to do. Boy was I disappointed. Not only do they work you to the bone, the expectation is to do so. The whole problem with the dangling carrot of Remote Work is that the unspoken exception is that you are working ALL THE TIME. Beyond that, their investment decisions were taking on far more risk than I was comfortable with, the hiring of bloated (and costly) titled positions of VP of this that and the other, but we don't have the department budget for ground teams in market? The CEO is an out of touch, tone deaf and makes impetuous decisions that are huge red flags of massive corporate mismanagement. Everyone is over worked, underpaid, their software is useless and riddled with problems, and over half the workforce lives overseas - making operations cumbersome, frustrating and inefficient. The gaslighting from upper management was particularly maddening. ('There's nothing wrong with the company, you're the problem'. ) Owners are unhappy, residents are unhappy. If this company doesn't get bought out in the next 12 months, it's going to collapse.

MYND Response

Nothing is more important to us at Mynd than providing a stellar experience for our employees, for our investors, customers and residents. We appreciate feedback - even constructive - but in this case, have to respectfully disagree. Remote work, flexibility, and work-life balance really matters to us. Mynders can do their best work when they have the time and space to rest, which is why we implemented unlimited time off in 2022 and added additional holidays and a sabbatical program. Additionally, we work with an external compensation consultant and consistently review our compensation and benefits package to ensure we’re not only providing fair compensation, but packages that are enticing and exciting for our people. Our homegrown software continues to evolve and grow with us as well. We are proud of the company we’ve built at Mynd and are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. Just as we say to current employees, we encourage you to reach out to us. We want to continue learning and growing and the door remains open to you to share feedback with us directly. - Lauren Pierce, CPO

Pros

Very flexible and willing to work with you for scheduling around family issues. Pay is good for what I do and they prefer to hire from within prior to hiring external candidates.

Cons

The workload can get to be a bit much, no shortage of work to go around. Not really a con, but it is the only thing I could think of.
