Pros
Benefits package was very attractive. Mac knows that it is otherwise a terrible company so they have good benefits and other incentives contingent on you having a certain tenure so that you stay for the benefits, even if you get treated like an animal.
Cons
Drama all the time. The company was a complete mess from top to bottom. No communication, no support for Resident Services or front desk staff who are trying to make it all work. No training on how to deal with escalation. Managers blamed me for problems that I didn’t create. Management expected me to do so much that was beyond my job description and that they didn’t sufficiently train me on. They never listened. They never learned. I didn’t realize how bad Mac was until I got hired with my new job and realized how employees should be treated and what a positive and supportive work environment looks like. There is no good reason to work for these people. Do not apply for resident services unless they are hiring you at $25 an hour with a week long training course, because that’s what I deserved for what I had to deal with there.
