Pros

Main Line Health is a decent place to work once you have your foot in the door. Experienced nurses and other seasoned employees offered newer employees advice and training that makes coming into work enjoyable and rewarding. Corporate training classes are offered and definitely something the company does a great job with.

Cons

High employee turn over due to lack of leadership and support from managers and directors. Consistently understaffed which becomes a patient safety problem. Management is not understanding of employee needs and gossip becomes a major issue which makes for a hostile work environment. Some team members wouldn’t talk to others and even completely ignored each other. Behavioral issues were not addressed properly and continued to occur, even in front of patients. Human Resources plays favorites and praises those team members while the other team members are routinely written up and asked/forced to work extra hours due to improper staffing. Hiring and on boarding process takes entirely too long and recruiters need more training.

Pros

Meaningful work with opportunities to use and develop your skills as an electrician. Competitive pay and benefits. Chance to work in a hospital environment with a variety of electrical systems.

Cons

Lack of transparency regarding shift expectations during the hiring process. Work-life balance can be challenging, especially for employees with families. Scheduling and communication with new hires could be improved. Promised opportunities and timelines may not align with the reality of the position.
