Pros
Manhattan Associates is a good place to start as an entry level consultant. I learned a great deal about supply chain management and software implementation. I was also given a fair amount of responsibility as a new hire and had the opportunity to work with major clients. However, guidance and leadership is minimal, and it is up to you to seek out the support you need. This could be good or bad depending on your preference. Many young, intelligent and personable colleagues made the working environment more interesting.
Cons
The value of your experience is largely based on the client and project you are assigned, which evidently you have very little control of. Travel is often to desolate locations, where warehouses and distribution centers are typically located. Long hours are often required, with no additional compensation or recognition. Minimal vacation days are given. Manhattan Associates is only in the supply chain industry, so it limits your opportunity to transfer elsewhere.
