Pros
There are a lot of great people to work with here! Competitive pay; solid benefits Best in class, cash cow supply chain software - keeps the $$ rolling in with little actual effort or care for customer satisfaction.
Cons
Stale / immature leadership - most of the leadership here has only ever worked there… or very few other places. They spout the same old tired philosophies and have no new/fresh ideas on building and maintaining a good culture. Toxic “burn and churn” culture - leadership in some parts of the organization will let people work or work themselves 2-3 jobs rather than staff appropriately. Most leaders love being the heroes. Rather than knowledge sharing and empowering their employees they micromanage to make it look like they love being the ones to do everything. Although part of this may also be due to the fact that some areas of the company are rife with underperformers that can’t do their jobs. No career growth opportunities, especially in the internal IT group. Internal IT group has no backing from executive leadership and one would wonder how they are even aligned with the needs of the overall business or if they are doing their own thing altogether. This lack of a tieback to a corporate goal and purpose leaves everyone doing his/her own thing which creates so much chaos and extra work. There is talk of diversity and inclusion here but senior leadership is not really aligned and promoting it. There is definitely sexism against women in the culture here. Hire a woman in, make her prove she can do the job but take forever to promote her due to stupid HR hurdles that limit advancement. Hire a man directly into the position she fought for? No problem! “Butt in chair” leadership style. Very little consideration to let employees work remote. Leadership has little trust of employees and thinks people only work in the office.
