Pros
You'll work with a lot of smart, driven recent graduates, making for a great peer culture. The team is young and relatable, which makes the work environment more enjoyable. Plus, the learning curve is steep—one year here can feel like three in an internal role, giving you valuable experience fast.
Cons
Oh boy, where do I even start? This job is exhausting, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The work culture is brutal—upper management will squeeze every last drop out of you, and the expectation of free overtime is insane. A lot of consultants here are on work visas and will put in crazy hours, including weekends, just to fight for a sponsorship. For a regular U.S. citizen, that just means your manager expects the same from you; if you’re not working 10-15 extra hours a week for free, you’ll be compared to those who are. On top of that, you’re constantly bending over backwards for demanding clients, and project managers have no problem throwing you under the bus to make their project metrics look good. Work-life balance barely exists, and for the amount of work, stress, and travel, the pay is nowhere near what it should be. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from this role.
