Pros

Friendly family oriented culture. Enormous opportunities to develop skills, learn develop and grow. Your voice and your ideas will be heard. Management values their employees and they show it. People arent punished for an honest mistake. Managers are friendly calm and tolerant. Creativity is encouraged and overcoming challenges is rewarded. CEO really does go look at the shop floor himself, is approachable, and will take your concerns to heart.

Cons

When a project goes south it really goes south and often problem cases get passed on instead of worked on. Top performers get a lot of work dumped on them to the point of burn out. New employees don't get proper supervision by their superiors and or peers (possibly because of their workloads) and mistakes don't get caught until it's way late. Heavy insistence on process and large company thinking for a small company causes confusion and for things to get lost in the fog. Poor retention in critical departments is now causing issues in projects. Microsoft Teams will NOT fix our filesystem. It is only going to add another place to try and find files. I think that the business is generally less fair to the Sheridan St shop employees than to Washington St.

Pros

Lots of learning opportunities. Lots of friendly colleagues. They try to have a family culture/ Christmas party etc. The CEO is an approachable guy.

Cons

After a year of working somewhere else where i was respected as an engineer, I realize I should have left this place way sooner than I did. The final straw was watching as they brought in people with the same and less qualifications as me to the same position - then titled them as an Engineer - when they never did that for me, and I had the qualification from the start. MTI is wicked bad Siloed as a company. Its hard to get any collaboration to happen across departments.
