The merger significantly impacted our department, leading to a substantial increase in workload without sufficient resources to manage it, which resulted in considerable frustration among team members. It became evident that the company's priorities were focused more on financial gain for upper management rather than on customer experience or employee well-being. We were left feeling undervalued and burned out on a daily basis. I was recently laid off due to budget cuts, and I am relieved to no longer be part of the company. The merger, without a doubt, was the major turning point for the decline in morale and overall work environment.
