Commission is terrible - Agent Mark Spain Real Estate Employee Review

Pros

Training is great and you learn how to sell their product

Cons

Commission. Even when you bring your own clients, it’s not even up to industry standards. Their gimmick worked six months the ago and doesn’t anymore. When you’re waiting on a sales commission after 30 days the 18% split just isn’t worth it. Also huddles are mandatory twice a week on zoom. As an independent person contractor, I shouldn’t have to be mandated to do anything. You are made to feel inadequate if you don’t get “listing”. They send you out to homes where the people are clearly not looking to sell and wasting your time and gas. I’d be happy to give more if I was getting more but I just feel like giving my 18%

Thanks for the feedback! We are a high-performance sales team that is not for everyone. For MSRE, we look for continuous improvement so I would encourage you to reach out to the training team or your Director of Sales. They will be happy to provide coaching, shadow you on some appointments, and generally do whatever they can to help you convert more opportunities to help our clients. -- John Makarewicz

Pros

Remote work. No other pros.

Cons

Low moral across inside teams. Separation of departments. Lack of transparency on any company changes or policy changes. There is no HR/Employee handbook. Senior leadership is not kind and lacks empathy. (Clicky) Volume is insane. Micro management at its heaviest. It is now a call center. Expect high call volume and no breaks. Job description does not match actual work. Bonus structure is weak. No opportunity for career advancement. If you wanna be underpaid and under appreciated, this is the place for you. This is not a real estate position. It’s a call center and you’re penalized for providing good customer service. The bonus structure is a ratio. Any call over 45 seconds count negatively against you and takes money from your bonus. I wouldn’t recommend this job to my worth enemy.
