Pros
Compensation (good pay, benefits, time off) Discounted hotels.
Cons
Good ole boys corporate culture and resulting structure. Compensation (leaving you in golden handcuffs/hard to make a move). Lack of learning and advancement opportunities. Very siloed professional development, generating a very specialized skill-set unique to the corporate Marriott systems (ie. Very little translatable skills. Value increases within company, but not in the overall job market, which makes it very tough to find another job when your time comes).
