Companies offers some freedom and your opinion usually matters. Stringent controls due to SoX and the like limit how far you can go with your thoughts.
Cons
Management is over worked and does not always pay attention to the worker bees. In my experience, management does not actually mange you, your senior colleagues/team leads do.
