Pros

Name and standing of the company. International clientele. Salary, if you are a man or bargain well. Flexible work. Good place for buddies as the organisation tries to take care of your interests.

Cons

In general and in the Delhi region, buttering the bosses is your surest way up as promotions, pay-raises, and bonuses are dependent on the whims of your top bosses- usually all men. Unfortunately, there are hardly any women in the top management, regional leadership, and very few even within departments. While male executives get regular 'deserving' promotions and salary hikes, women executives with the same kind of performance find it hard to get promotions or appreciation. Women are seen as inefficient, burden, or worst, as mere ornaments. Instances are there when, women are punished for marrying, pregnancy, and child birth with no promotion or pay hike, during their pregnancy and when they return after their maternity leave. Some bosses makes it a point to remind you of the benevolence in sanctioning your maternity leave or annual leave and allowing you to keep your job; when it is your legal right. And once you return from a maternity leave, you may start at the bottom literally and figuratively with 3-4 years of work, down the drain.
