Pros

You can make good friends with the people in the trenches. Like in combat, you bond with your compatriots.

Cons

Management gives you impossible tasks and tell you to get it done and that is it all. They then set up roadblocks. If it gets done despite their efforts, they get the credit, and you get nothing. Upper management just does what it wants and bullies you and forces you to follow their top down decision without caring much about the people doing the work or their inputs. Lack of trust in upper management. If you care about your job or your sense of professionalism, your work life balance is awful. No career growth. Knowledge is hard to get so technical growth is hard. Company is very tight with money, but will spend on the things that don't really help. If you are not upper management, it is hard to get any respect or cooperation and they will not care what you say or feel.

Pros

I worked with highly talented engineers on challenging projects and learned a great deal about embedded systems and software development. The engineering culture encouraged collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, making it an excellent place to grow professionally.

Cons

As with many large organizations, some processes and decision-making could be slow, and cross-team coordination occasionally added delays to project execution.

Pros

- Great work culture, helpful colleagues, managers with real leadership qualities. - Quality over quantity is expected and appreciated. - Periodic recalibration of assignments and deadlines of individual engineers to keep the workloads realistic. - No risk averting behaviors which gives freehand for all engineers to explore new ideas to improve the design performance. - Management seems to fish out and raise engineers from all levels who move the needles. - Have enough infrastructure and resources to develop advanced products without pressuring the engineers. - Adopting AI is every aspect of work. So, engineers can adapt to future needs of the industry.

Cons

- Salary can be a bit higher.
