Pros
Working directly with patients was great, I personally enjoyed talking with them to assuage any anxieties they may have and explain the process. And the mid of working on our feet for half the day and sitting down for the other half was nice.
Cons
I can't speak to how to rest of the MC clinic is, but the organization of DC Covid team is a wreck. We were perpetually under staffed, under trained, sometimes even yelled at, and after I'd worked there for months my supervisors sometimes still didn't understand basic Covid vaccination protocols (ex. What vaccines can/can't be mixed, what dose people get of each). My coworkers were great and the care we did all we could to still provide quality care, but we all ended up over-worked and after I quit most of my team did as well. Mary's Center is great, but I wouldn't recommend joining the Covid team. While I only worked there for a few months, my former co-workers who are still there have confided in me that it's only gotten worse since I left.
