Cons
- Piece-rate model can work to your disadvantage if you are slower-paced, or if you get stuck with a house configuration or problem you can't quite figure out. - Long hours! No work-life balance. - mandatory 6-and-1 scheduling during busy season, indeterminate end date. - Even with an abundance of technicians and mandatory 6/1 scheduling, they still can't keep up with the workload without calling in contractors. - Those contractors don't always live up to quality standards and you end up fixing their shoddy work. - no protection for phones is issued. - Only teamwork involved is sharing of equipment and MAYBE tag-teaming a large commercial job, otherwise you're on your own. Consider two-man teams. - Sometimes excessive safety can get in the way of getting a job done. A little bit of flexibility exercised by an experienced technician can go a long way. - They CHARGE the employee for the privilege of keeping their van at home, no explanation given. - Health benefits are mediocre at best, they really push AFLAC, probably because of this.
