Pros

Most people are very nice and will make you feel welcome. Their staff events (ie. Sales Summit) are amazing and make you feel very motivated afterwards!

Cons

Masimo is a big company but it is very disorganised and operates like a small company. At Masimo, in a post-pandemic world, working full time at the office is still mandatory, they don’t offer any flexible or hybrid work models, which is unbelievable, it seems that the company hasn’t evolved at and this is a big turnoff for potential employees. For being such a big company, they don’t offer great benefits and / or prioritize the employee well-being. The COO has to approve everything which makes processes very long. If you need anything urgent approved, you will be very lucky if it gets approved. Teams are micromanaged and new ideas are not always welcome.

Pros

Danaher came in and this new ceo will be better than the last one. Innovative devices that make a real difference in clinical environments. Talented, dedicated engineers and individual contributors who are passionate about quality and results. Competitive benefits and resources supporting the technical work.

Cons

senior leadership appear disconnected from actual operations. They often seem to know little about the day-to-day realities and contribute minimal practical value, leading to poor decisions, bottlenecks, and wasted effort for the teams doing the real work. Increasing bureaucracy and top-heavy structure that slows down progress despite the strong capabilities of the people on the ground. A noticeable gap between executive influence and actual impact, which is frustrating even as a newcomer observing it. Key talent and legacy know-how are leaving at a concerning rate, which makes newcomers like me nervous about the company’s long-term knowledge retention and stability. Gossip is rampant, further eroding trust and team cohesion.
