Pros

I worked with 2 of the top Service based companies, and later I joined the Mastercard. 1. The work culture - Employee first. Let it be your priorities on personal front, they care of it. Try to be genuine, with what you do and when you ask for something. It's a mutual relation. 2. Flexibility - You have an option to Work From Home, as needed. No long waiting queue of approvals. Quite good number of leaves - Annual, Personal, Sick, etc. Plan well! 3. Connect - At the top, your feedback matters most. Management always keen to know your feedback, your reporting manager connect with you on a regular basis. 4. Appreciation - One of the lead to motivate. And they are quick at it. You just do it right! 5. Technology stack - All platforms are open for you. It is how you explore it. There are online/offline training facilities. 6. The concerns - Your manager/HR helps you on various feedback or concerns ASAP. Quite quick, compared to my past experience. 7. Intra-technology/project movement - If you express your interest and with the time, you can always shift the gears. 8. Work pressure - They plan quite well(doesn't mean no last minute issues) to ensure good amount of time for every project/work. I hardly seen last minute calls to disturb the weekend :). You need be agile in sharing updates about issues/expected delays with your work. They always help to expedite it. 9. Your well being - You can play the Table Tennis, and other indoor sports while you are on the floor. Gym facility is also there. Its good to take a break from work!

Cons

1. Observed delays in getting interview call after you apply. Generally have Telephonic/F2F Technical, Manager and HR rounds. 2. Your negotiation skill plays a big role. 3. No cab/bus facility for regular work hours. You can either carpool or bring your own vehicle. 4. Not many Cons have been observed here when compared to my past experience.

Pros

Mastercard does a great job fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. There are genuinely good people throughout the organization, and leadership often invests in employee engagement through events, recognition, and culture-building initiatives. I enjoyed many of the relationships I built while working there, and there are teams that truly care about collaboration and supporting one another.

Cons

Compensation at the director level did not feel competitive compared to the level of responsibility expected. Career advancement can also be extremely challenging due to how top-heavy the organization is with senior leadership roles. There are a large number of Senior Vice Presidents, sometimes without clear scope or experience aligned to the title, which creates limited room for high-performing employees to grow. At times, it felt like senior leaders were being hired primarily to manage or communicate with other senior leaders, rather than drive meaningful operational impact. In product and go-to-market roles especially, priorities are often heavily driven by funding decisions. It can be frustrating when projects suddenly shift in importance or remain underfunded for long periods of time while awaiting senior leadership review. This sometimes leaves highly talented employees in limbo, unable to move initiatives forward despite strong momentum or market opportunity. The organization can also be very comfortable with the status quo, which creates a slower pace that many employees seem accustomed to. For people who are highly motivated and eager to drive change, it can feel difficult to navigate the number of roadblocks and layers of approval required to move initiatives forward.
